Fall Must Haves Styled

Last week, I posted my Fall Must Haves. Now, I want to show you how I would style them! With a few basics all of these items can be made into a quick and easy outfit.

From the scarf to the boots, I think this outfit screams fall. This is a typical Fall outfit I would wear. The purple and orange pair well together and keep things comfortable.

This is an outfit I would be apt to wear to work on casual Friday. Each piece works well together for a polished look.

I think this is an easy weekend shopping outfit. This jacket is light enough that you won't get hot going from store to store. The animal print flats give a pop to the otherwise neutral palette.

TAG This or That

I was tagged by Gloss & Glitz in This or That!

  1. Blush or Bronzer? Bronzer because I love to contour.
  2. Lipgloss or Lipstick? Lipgloss. I rarely wear lipstick.
  3. Chapstick or Lip Butter? Lip butter because, to me, it is the perfect combination or hydration and color.
  4. Matte or Sparkle Eye Shadow? Matte all of the way.
  5. Gel, Liquid, Cream, or Pencil Eyeliner? On a daily basis I wear pencil, however I like gel better. I think gels have great lasting power.
  6. Foundation or Concealer? Foundation. I cannot go without using foundation!!
  7. Liquid or Powder Foundation? I use bareMinerals powder foundation everyday.
  8. Neutral or Statement Eyes? I sport neutral eyes more than anything else.
  9. Pressed or Loose Shadows? Pressed. I own very few loose shadows. The ones I do have, haven't been touched in months!
  10. Waterproof or Non Water proof? Non water proof. I don't like the time it takes to get the product off when it's waterproof.
  11. Brushes, Sponges or Fingers? I have discovered a love for brushes. I now apply any and all foundations with brushes!
  12. Powder, Cream, or Liquid Highlighter? I have only ever used a powder highlight.

Mascara Monday: Sephora Favorites Lashtash Total Review

(click on the link for my full review)

The Sephora Favorites Lashtash box was a lot of fun to experience. Normally, I would not be able to afford all of these high end mascaras. This is why I think the Lashtash box is an excellent buy. I purchased my box after the holidays, when it had been reduced in price. I have heard they will be coming out with another box this holiday season. I am excited to see what appears in the box this year! I had success with 60% of the mascaras and found 2 favorites.

What mascaras do I like for what?
Best natural looking mascara: Josie Maran
Best curling mascara: Urban Decay
Best mascara when used with eyeliner: Make Up For Ever and bareMinerals
Best volumizing mascara: Stila
Best lengthening mascara:Tarte

Which of these would I fork over the cash for? Urban Decay and MUFE

I have already found a dupe for MUFE, so I will not be purchasing it (unless they stop making my dupe!) I also found a dupe for bareMinerals. I will share both of these dupes in the future! I have not found anything like Urban Decay and will likely purchase a tube of this soon.

Which mascaras do I not recommend? Fair Drops, Film Noir, Sephora or Too Faced

None of these mascaras gave me a look I appreciated and/or they did not follow through on their claims.

Which of these mascaras are your favorites?

Fall Must Haves

Welcome to Fall! Temperatures have started to decline the past couple weeks and I am happy about this.
One, of the many things, I love about Fall is the clothing. I cannot wait to pull out my boots again! I thought I would share with you some of my Fall must haves.

Sweater dress: To me, nothing is more comfortable or easy than a dress. I love the one pictured above because it incorporates Fall colors.

Comfy sweater: I think it's important to have a big comfy sweater. It can easily be paired with jeans or leggings and a scarf.

Jeggings: I'm a big fan of wearing boots over pants. I think the easiest way to do this is with jeggings or skinny jeans.

Fitted jacket: Now that it's getting chilly out there, a camel colored fitted jacket is essential.

Scarf: Nothing says Fall more than a scarf. These are one of the easiest accessories!

Boots: I think boots always complete a fall look. I love a boot that comes to the knee with a slight heel. An added bonus is some hardware.

The pictured items can be found at top row: The Loft, Target, Forever 21 bottom row: all Target

Look out next week for my Fall must haves styled!

Guest Blogger: Krystal of Beauty by Krystal

This month, I have a guest post from Krystal of Beauty by Krystal! I have been a reader of Krystal's blog for a long time now. Recently, I was very impressed by her when she began to use her blog for a cause. Krystal has been collecting cosmetics for breast cancer groups in her area. I thought this was such a fantastic show of being a kind hearted blogger and person, that I wanted her guest post while she was collecting. I hope some of my readers will get involved as well. I mean c'mon, how many of you have unused beauty box items piling up? To get involved and for more information click here

In today's post, Krystal will be discussing a great polish find!

Hello Everyone!

I'm Krystal from Beauty by Krystal and I'm extremely happy to be guest blogging on Beauty By Arielle. I have been following her blog for quite a while now, so when she asked me to guest blog I truly felt so flattered and honored. Today I wanted to share one of my go-to nail polishes plus I want to share something special at the end :)

I love nail polishes and I love them even more when they are affordable. Majority of my polish collection are inexpensive brands and I love them all to pieces. I have never tried the new Maybelline Color Show polishes, and ever since beauty bloggers and Youtubers started raving about them, I finally caved and took the time to glance at them at my local Walmart. I currently own a few shades, but Born With It was the first one to ignite my passion for the Color Show polishes.

Born With It is a milky baby pink, the first coat applies a bit streaky, the second coat evens it out and I tend to add a third coat to get it fully opaque. The brush is nice, the formula is smooth and applies very easily and cleanly. With a good base coat and top coat, I get about 5 days of perfect wear time. I really enjoy the Color Show polishes and I'm slowly building up my collection of them.

I wanted to make a quick note that I'm currently hosting a Cosmetics Donation Bin on my website, where you can send in your unopened, unused or used but unloved cosmetics to add to the donation bin. In a few months I will be distributing the cosmetics to a local women's shelter and a breast cancer group. I have a couple special stories on the Donation Bin page, so please do come by and check it out. Even if you do not donate to my bin, keep the idea in mind next time you reorganize your makeup collection - there are always facilities accepting cosmetic donations.

Mascara Monday: Sephora Advanced Lash Booster

Sephora Advanced Lash Booster, $12

This was one of two full size mascaras in the Sephora Favorites Lashtash box. I decided to put this one off until last because Sephora had some big claims about this formula. I wanted to give myself plenty of time to test it out.

"In a one-month, 20-subject study conducted under ophthalmologic control (in comparison to a placebo mascara), results showed:
- 12% average increase in length.
- 12% increase in diameter.
- Densifying effect (observed by 80% of women).

- Fortifying effect (observed by 75% of women)."-from the Sephora website

Sephora also claims this mascara has the powers to lengthen, thicken, and add fullness and strength. For me, I'm not convinced any of these claims are true. As you can see from my photo, the mascara does very little for my lashes. I could not see a difference between no mascara and the addition of Advance Lash Booster. Unfortunately, I noticed that the formulation was quite wet and caused my lashes to clump together.

As for increases in length and diameter? I saw no changes. I suppose I fall in the 20% of women who saw no densifying effect and the 25% who didn't notice a fortifying effect, either.

I was hoping this was just one of those mascaras that worked poorly on my lashes. However, after reading the reviews it appears there were several other women with a similar experience as mine. It is disappointing because this is a good idea, in theory.

Next week on Mascara Monday, I will review the entire Lashtash box!

Birchbox: Month 9

From left to right:
boscia Oil-free Nightly Hydration, value ~$13.50
Mighty Leaf Tea lifestyle extra
kate spade new york in Twirl, value ~$1.17
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, value ~$1.56
twistband, value ~$2.33
Color Club in Insta-This, value ~$4

Total value ~$22.56

My first impression of this box is that it is similar to other boxes I have received. I have received a Color Club polish, a Jouer face product and a twistband in past boxes. There was nothing new or original about this box.

Then, I noticed the boscia product had a sticker label. I thought that was a bit strange, so I peeled it back. This is what I discovered:

Utlra-Pure Oil-free Moisture

I tried to google this mystery product but found nothing. This leads me to speculate that they had a bunch of this Ultra-Pure lying around and slapped a sticker on it. Perhaps it was when they were in the name stage of the product? It could be the same formulation as the Nightly Hydration, but who knows? I am very confused by this. From my perspective, this is shady and I am not impressed.

What was your Birchbox experience this month?
