Quick and Easy Halloween Nail Art For Short Nails

I don’t know about you, but long pretty nails don’t seem to be in the cards for me. I have broken  too many nails to count at the almost perfect for me length. But short nails can be super cute too, right?
With Halloween around the corner I am already getting excited to wear themed nails. The only problem is I am not a nail art master, so I stick to pretty easy designs. Black cats are not only an easily recognizable Halloween design, they are also super duper easy to create. I used acrylic paints on top of my base of Sally Hansen Black Heart, because I am impatient and they dry quickly. You can of course use nail polish.
Step 1: Apply your base coat.

Step 2: Use white to make 2 almond shapes for the eyes.

Step 3: Make two peachy toned triangles for the insides of the ears.

Step 4: Add yellow for the eyes. Other choices would be gold and green. Both would fit in well with an overall Halloweenish look.

Step 5: Add Black vertical lines for the pupils. At this point I also decided a triangle for the nose in the same color as the inside of the ears helped pull the look together.

Step 6: Add a glossy top coat and you’re done!
